![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Number One: Merida shouldn’t complain/make selfish and irresponsible decisions. Let’s start by defending it against some of the more dubious complaints we’ve heard. We’d rather engage with the movie as it is than try to critique the movie it might have been. Erm, who is a sucker for behind-the-scenes stuff, watched everything she could find on the making of this movie and came away still none the wiser about what specifically went wrong, but that’s OK. It had trouble while it was in development with it’s director and writer, Brenda Chapman, fired in the middle of production for creative differences. But we can’t argue that the film doesn’t suffer from story problems. ![]()
